'Insurgent' actress Shailene Woodley is enlisted to star as the cover girl of fashion and lifestyle publication Elle's April 2015 issue.

The 23 year old brunette, who is quite bold with her roles and confident with her body images, stars on the cover dressed in a cut-out black bodysuit from Balmain.

The skimpy number shows off the edgy star's petite curves and cleavage, and puts her toned legs on display.

Shailene, who is a self-proclaimed hippie, is lensed by photographer Michael Thompson for the shoot, and rocks a smouldering silver smoky eyes and slicked back bob.

The actress talks about falling in love and what love means to her, for the interview and wears a halter monchrome dress with cut-outs for a preview image of the spread.
