The Best Fashion Blogs of 2015
2015 is in the books, and we have a new year of fashion to look forward to. A great way to keep up with the latest trends is by following the best blogs.
Despite the old predicted downfall of fashion blogs, they're as hot as ever, with a growing audience. No matter the reason, some things are just far more comfortable and convenient for me. Using YouTube for makeup ideas is an example, online banking is another, as are bingo sites like www.pgbingo.com and the others that I spend way too much time on.
Fashion blogs fall into that category as well, they're always going to be around and some of us are always going to find them useful. Take a look at this post on the Sexiest Celebrities at the GQ Men of the Year Party 2015. That got a lot of visitors. We get more detail and discussion than an Instagram picture, plus it feels a little special to sit down and read/browse through. So here we go with some of 2015's best!
Harper and Harley is an Australian fashion blog run by Sara Donaldson. Her style consists entirely of black, white and grey, and is elegant yet laid-back. She posts frequently, and covers a variety of topics from dressing for specific situations, to make-up tips.
Egg Canvas is another great fashion blog which covers other areas too. Erica Choi uses this blog to cover everything from fashion and travel to design shows and seasonal trends. She also works as a designer for brands like Jimmy Choo and Burberry, although this area of work is separated to its own site.
Wide Eyed Legless, run by Madelynn Furlong, is aimed at women looking for a minimalist style. Don't expect to see anything wild, crazy or even colourful on this site. It's all very understated, simplistic clothing. Let's be clear though, this isn't a bad point; the choices are in fact very elegant and stylish. The way Madelynn puts it all together creates an outstanding look, one which seems effortless to pull off.
What My Boyfriend Wore is a blog aimed at men. Originally this started when owner Sergio Ines' girlfriend began taking pictures of him and his outfits, posting them to social media like Instagram. This gradually took off, and although the girlfriend is no longer around, the blog still is. Sergio posts regularly and keeps us updated with the latest men’s fashion trends for those who want a smart, classy look. He also reviews restaurants, food and drink, and has a number of tutorials on useful things such as how to tie a bow tie.
Dear Milano launched in 2012 and grew rapidly, becoming one of South America's most influential fashion blogs. With a global following, Dear Milano covers a variety of areas, including fitness, fashion, lifestyle and beauty. Parts of the site are in Spanish at the moment, though the colourful outfits and looks speak for themselves through the pictures.
That wraps up our look at a few of the best fashion blogs from 2015. With the variation between these blogs, there should be something for everyone. If you have a unique look that isn't covered here, try searching for blogs about that particular style/look. These days, there's something out there for everyone!
