YogurtYogurt contains healthy bacteria that helps fight off vaginal odour and infection. You can eat a bowl of fresh yogurt daily to increase your body's immunity level against all infections, or a spoonful of yogurt can also be applied to the vaginal area and washed off after 15 minutes with cold water.
AlumAlum is known to be used as a water purifier, and effectively fights off bacteria as it has antiseptic and antifungal properties. A stick of alum can be run under water and applied on the vaginal area twice daily for effective results. The area may also be washed with a glass of water mixed with a spoonful of alum powder.

Along with trying out the above remedies, it is essential to maintain good hygiene. Washing the vaginal area with a mild soap daily, cleaning the area well after bowel movement, and maintaining a healthy diet are all important.
