The annual Miss World contest saw over 100 countries participating, but it was Miss Puerto Rico who won the crown for 2016.
19 year old Stephanie de Valle was tearful when she was given the crown by Miss World 2015, at the MGM National Harbor, in Maryland.
The 2016 Miss World is a multilingual student who speaks English, French and Spanish, and has dreams to join the entertainment industry.
Stephanie is also a part-time model and musician, and is currently enrolled at the Pace University in New York.
Mesmerizing in a pale pink cut-out dress made up of tulle with a plunging neckline, Stephanie dazzled with the diamante beads that adorned her dress.
The 2016 Miss World is the second ever Puerto Rico entrant to win the prestigious title, the first being in 1975.
Stephanie earlier in December took to Instagram, and let her 10000 followers know that she is a perfectionist, and doesn't like to follow trends.
She also enjoys learning songs on her guitar, is a lover of theatre, and is an avid School of Rock fan.
