Urban Decay does the stellar once again, and brings forth a jaw-dropping and colourful collaboration with late American artist Jean Michel Basquiat.
The limited edition 12-set collection is unfortunately limited edition, but is a well-rounded collection as it offers a variety of products, with endless options.
As Jean Michel's style was quite contemporary, and his dedication to graffitti is visible on the products, Urban Decay pays homage to the artist whose work can also be cited as neo-expressionism.
With a cool touch of Basquiat to the product, Urban Decay's new collection is certainly a collector's item, and will surely fly off the shelves upon its release.
The Tenant Eyeshadow Palette ($39) featured in the collection, is a universally flattering palette that will work with all skin tones. It comes with an eyeshadow brush, and offers colours such as bright green, vivid blue aubergine and pretty pink.
The second eyeshadow palette in the collection is the Gold Griot Palette ($39), and offers eight tones of brown and gold along with a deep navy, and we can possibly just imagine the numerous looks that can be played around with the colour choices.
The whole UD x Jean Michel Basquiat 2017 Collection comes in vault as well for $165, adorned with the works of the artist.
Urban Decay's popular Vice Lipsticks also get a makeover for the collection, and the shades remain close to the ones offered in the eyeshadow palettes. With rich textures and a creamy smooth application, the three shades of the collection include a taupe, sienna and a pink-purple.
A blush compact is also included in the collection which has four blushes with a sizable mirror. The blush shades a bronze, a berry, a pink and a gold champagne shimmer, and comes with a price tag of $34.
The Urban Decay x Jean Michel Basquiat Collection also includes richly pigmented and smooth eye pencils in the shades of bright neon, sienna and a teal. At $20 each, the pencils promise a bright pop of colour to the eyes, and will compliment all skin tones.
The collection is rounded off with three different and chic cosmetic bags that have the crown detail seen throughout the collection. The artistically adorned bags also feature contrast stitching around the zipper.
The Urban Decay x Jean Michel Basquiat 2017 Makeup Collection will be launched on the 20th of April, 2017, and is an ode to the unique work of the contemporary American artist.
