Metropolitan Museum Exhibition of Late Alexander McQueen Designs

Alexander McQueen designs are best known for their raw energy, femininity, sensuality and emotional power. Lee Alexander McQueen, the maestro himself, was best known for his provocative and exciting fashion shows. His achievements in fashion earned him four British Designer of the Year awards (1996, 1997, 2001 and 2003), as well as the CFDA's International Designer of the Year award in 2003. McQueen has been credited with bringing drama and extravagance to the catwalk. His designs have a sense of rebellion and magical fantasy. McQueen's death was announced on the afternoon of 11 February 2010. He was found hanged that morning in his wardrobe. His untimely death left the fashion world shocked and sadden. In solemnization of his life and creative vision, the Metropolitan Museum in New York will be exhibiting over 100 pieces of McQueen's work from May 4th until July 31st 2011. Here's a toast from MyFaceHunter to one of the most creative designers ever!
