Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2012 Collection

Stefan Pilati, creative head of YSL, debuted the Yves Saint Laurent Resort Collection 2011 in New York City on June 1, 2011. The collection was wonderful with lanyard necklaces, rope printed dresses and sailor styled pants and jackets. High wooden wedges and bare legs were also a hot trend on the catwalk. Pilati’s signature style seemed to ooze from the puff sleeved blouses, high waisted flaring pants and simple dresses with volumes at the back and one bright red trench which caught our eye. The summer season was visible in the poppy prints and breezy gowns which closed the show. Anchor motifs and poppy prints seemed to dominate the designs.
