Dior Haute Couture F/W: Bold splashes & fashionably tacky designs defy norms with a stunning, edgy twist.
Presented in Paris, the Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter is a splash of solid hues. Although the designs were a bit overdone and the transition from geometric to abstract patterns was not as smooth as it should have been, the creations were fashionably tacky. In sequel to all the prim and proper fall/winter clothing line launches by other designers, Dior decided to take the opposite route and do something bold. Concurring with the critics that a few of the designs are borderline disastrous, those very "disasters" are beautiful if you know how to look at them. Each of the creations is like a perfectly painted card falling out of a house of cards. The fall, nevertheless, has been captured stunningly.
