New York Fashion Week 2011 - Prabal Gurung Spring/Summer 2012

Nepalese American designer Prabal Gurung presented his first collection at the NYFW 2009. Since then he has many fan followers including celebs such as Oprah, Michelle Obama and Demi Moore. He presented his Spring/Summer 2012 collection which was chic and flashy with bright hues and eccentric patterns. The materials were sporty and more than the outfits, the accessories especially the funky shoes were brilliant. Ruffles were also seen with neat embroideries. I can see Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj flaunting this look. Nicki Minaj was also present at the show. “He has purple, you know, and that’s my color,” she said.
