Get the sun-kissed bronze look this summer!

Would you love to get the sun-kissed glow this summer? Love that healthy bounce of golden skin? Failed to achieve the desired bronze look? Fear not, this is the Bronzer A-Z. Bronzer is one of the most hidden beauty techniques that makeup artists use to give celebrities and models the healthy tanned look. It looks gorgeous and beautiful without looking sunburnt and over tanned, More and more cosmetic junkies are discovering the secrets of bronzing and attaining the bronzed look on their own.

What Are Bronzers?

Bronzers are different than blushes and highlighters. Many people confuse a bronzer with a highlighter, but bronzer is used to give your cheeks and face the healthy summer glow. It gives a sun-kissed charm to pale and pasty skin, and can easily become your beauty bag staple if the application technique is learnt well.

What Is The Difference Between Blushes & Bronzers?

A Blush is used to give a pop of colour to your cheeks, while a bronzer is used to give your face a sun-kissed look on the spots where the sun naturally hits i.e the forehead, cheek bones, nose, and chin. A sunblock is used to prevent a tan, but bronzers are in fact used to get a light gorgeous warm look without damaging the skin. Bronzers alone can give a dull look and work best when paired with a blush and less foundation.

How To Select A Bronzer According To Skin Tone & Type?

It is very important to select a bronzer that works best for your skin tone and type. There are different kinds of bronzers available in the market, but a powder based bronzer will work best for normal, combination, and oily skin. Gel based and cream bronzers are meant for dry skin. Always use a shade that is no more than two tones darker than your skin. If you skin is fair go for peach based bronzers; for the olive to medium tone, copper works best; darker bronzers are beneficial to the darker skinned beauties. Orange based bronzers are also available but fail to give the natural look, and tend to look absurd.

How To Apply A Bronzer?

First, remember that you are not applying a blush. Take a short fluffy blush, take some product on it and tap off the excess bronzer. You need a little product first and you can build your way up to achieve the perfect warm look. Start off right above the cheekbone and move towards the temples, and to the forehead. Go back and lightly dust the apples of your cheeks. Blend well and dust the leftover to the rest of your face. Do not add more product as you move to the rest of your face. You have to start with very less product and work your way up. Practice makes perfect and you'll achieve the gorgeous warm bronze look in no time.
