Christian Dior Couture Spring/Summer 2013

Luxury label Christian Dior presented its Spring/Summer 2013 Couture Collection at the Paris Fashion Week, and was a breath of fresh spring air in the Paris snow. Creative head Raf Simons showcased a green garden on the runway with the couture collection including floor-length 50s inspired looks fit for a queen and a lady of class and elegance. Beautiful designs with a mixed colour palette that included both lights and brights, with attention grabbing symmetric details were seen on the runway, with floral and mesh appliques. Cigarette pants, waist cinching dresses, jacket looks, and corsets stole the show, and every design seemed heavenly. The thigh split continued to be in fashion, along with the strapless and low-cut necks. Feminine accessories and shoes completed the collection with bright red lips and the cropped pixie hair cut. The Dior Couture collection is more feminine and classy, rather than the Atelier Versace Spring/Summer Couture 2013, which was more modern and futuristic.
