Free People Launches New Eco-Friendly Label, Maheya
From runway to red carpet, explore fashion trends, model buzz, celebrity looks, and expert editorials that define modern style.
Maheya, meaning, "from the earth," is a collection of apparel using fabrics dyed and printed with medicinal herbs, plants, and biodegradable waste such as temple flowers. The natural dyes contribute to the conservation of nature and are skin friendly.
The line will launch with three dresses, two tops, and one kaftan on Earth Day, April 22nd. Because of the precious materials, items are priced at a higher level, ranging $90-$520. Each piece comes with a seed paper hangtag on 100% recycled paper that can be planted and grown into wildflowers.
