Marlies Dekkers Fall 2013 Lingerie

Renowned Dutch lingerie designer Marlies Dekkers brings forth her Fall 2013 lingerie collection, and takes inspiration from The Mauritshuis museum. The former, privately owned house now displays some of the most acknowledged Dutch painters’ work such as Rembrandt, Carel Fabritius and Johannes Vermeer, and Marlies incorporates that into her work by using embroidered lace and mesh to give an array of exquisite luxury lingerie. Metal chain ornaments are also seen on the rich designs which are inspired from the museum’s decorative frames. The collection's royal and magnificent aura is enhanced with classy cream, black, and maroon shades, with matching collar pieces, and extravagant pieces of jewellery. The Mauritshuis Museum also serves as a backdrop of the shoot with fruit and floral props, giving it a more dark and sensual appeal.
