Kerry Washington in a plunging dress at the 2015 GLAAD Media Awards in Beverly Hills

'Scandal' actress Kerry Washington was awarded the Vanguard Award at the 2015 GLAAD Media Awards held in Beverly Hills.

The celebrity was honoured for her work as an ally to the LGBT community, and gave a kick-ass speech at the event.

She talked about LGBT rights and equality, and looked stunning while doing so.

Kerry wore a plunging Hellessy Fall 2015 gown which was two toned and also featured a mix of two fabrics.

The bodice of the dress was a jewel toned red satin, while the purple skirt floated down gracefully in soft pleats.

Kerry styled her look with a 'Crisp Packet' clutch from Anya Hindmarch, and wore her dark hair in curls.

A touch of pink lip gloss completed the star's look for the event.
