Every year Forbes releases its lists of the top influencers in different categories including comedy, travel, gaming, entertainment, parenting, food, tech & business, and sports, and also has released its lists for the top beauty and fitness influencers for 2017.

With the rise of social media networks such as Snapchat and Instagram, participants have an easy forum to reach out to the masses and spread motivation and encouragement.

These influencers have a strong following over social media networks, and have a strong power to spread their opinion due to their cult following.

New Zealand based vlogger Shannon Haris, known as Shaanxo, started vlogging from her home in 2009, and built up a massive fan following. Growing in popularity, Shaaanxo now has her own beauty brand 'xoBeauty', and is quite renowned for selling high-quality makeup brushes and lashes.

#4 Nikkie de Jager (@nikkietutorials)

Known as the Dutch Queen of makeup and beauty, Nikkie de Jagger has over 7.2 million followers on Instagram, and is also a makeup creator. Nikkie also has a collaboration with professional makeup line Ofra.

#3 Huda Kattan (@hudabeauty)

Former finance employee Huda Kattan left her finance field behind and ventured into beauty. Seven years forward, Huda has her own line of cosmetics sold at Sephora, and is one of the top three beauty influencers of the world with a huge fan following.

#2 Michelle Phan (@michellephan)

Michelle Phan started off as a beauty vlogger on Youtube, and has over 8 million subscribers now. She is also the co-founder of cosmetics subscription box Ipsy, which was net-valued at $500 million in 2015.

#1 Zoe 'Zoella' Sugg (@zoella)

Zoella tops the Forbes Beauty Influencers 2017 list, and has three successful books to her credit, including 'Girl Online', a best-seller. Zoella has a sellout beauty line at Superdrug, and has over 11.6 million Youtube subscribers.

Venezuela based bodybuilder is #4 on the Forbes list, and rakes in a good $100,000 per Instagram post in partnership with health and fitness brands. Her determination paves for a successful body and career.

#3 Emily Skye (@emilyskyefit)

Australian fitness guru Emily Skye started her social media account in 2011, and has numerous fitness tutorials since then. Her massive fan following has also earned her a Reebok collaboration to be released in 2018.

#2 Jennifer Selter (@jenselter)

Jennifer Selter has over 10.6 million followers on her main account out of six Instagram accounts. The New York based fitness guru gives the best fitness inspiration, and is a motivation for many.

Kayla ranks at the top of the Forbes 2017 Top Fitness Influencers lists. She has 6.6 million followers and an app 'Sweat With Kayla' that generated $17 million in 2016. Turning a passion into a business empire is no easy feat, but Kayla has proved it right.
