Bella Hadid speaks against Trump's Jerusalem decision
Discover how Bella Hadid boldly confronts Trump's Jerusalem decision on Instagram, standing with Palestine and sparking discussions worldwide.
American Supermodel Bella Hadid made quite a statement against the President of the USA, Donald Trump, as she made a remark against the President's Jerusalem decision.
The 21 year old model posted a picture on her Instagram account of the Dome of Rock in Jerusalem's Old City, along with a message of solidarity.
Opening up to her 16 million followers on the social media network, Bella Hadid, whose father is Palestinian, wrote that she had been waiting to put a message into perfect words but realized there is no perfect way to speak about something so unjust.
Trump's announcement regarding the move of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem sparked international hue and cry, and set pace to regional unrest.
The move will mark US as the only country to have an embassy in Jerusalem, and Trump is quoted as saying that the move is in the best interests of the US, and will serve as a pursuit of peace between Israel and Palestine.
Jerusalem has sites sacred to Islam, Christianity and Judaism, though Israel's sovereignty over Jerusalem has never been recognized, and all other countries have their embassies in Tel Aviv.
The brunette model says that the President's decision comes as 'unjust', and Bella, who is a half-Palestinian, also says that the news made her 'cry for the many many generations of Palestine and her own family.'
