Kylie Jenner Becomes The Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Ever

Reality TV actress turned makeup mogul, Kylie Jenner has been crowned the Forbes Youngest Self-Made Billionaire. At the age of 21, Kylie Jenner, who stars in the Reality TV Show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians' and has her makeup brand "Kylie Cosmetics", is basking in the glow of more money. Not unknown to riches, Kylie was on the path to becoming a billionaire soon, and the expansion of Kylie Cosmetics to Ulta Beauty paved the way for financial gain, reportedly drawing $54.5 million in just six weeks.

Kylie's quick climb to financial gain is owed majorly to her three year old makeup brand, to which she is the 100% owner, and is now worth a dazzling $900 million. Income generated from her Reality TV show, fashion collaborations and endorsements also made her the youngest billionaire entrepreneur, but people are quick to criticize and question if she is really "self-made".

Talking about her Ulta Beauty success, Kylie Jenner told Forbes, "I popped up at a few stores, I did my usual social media — I did what I usually do, and it just worked," being quite casual about her huge financial success. The social media sensation, who boasts of a cool 175 million followers plugs her brand herself, and keeps marketing and advertising on social media. She has come a long way from being a teen Reality TV star to the world's youngest self-made billionaire, and has lots more to come her way.

Kylie is the youngest of the popular Kardashian-Jenner sisters, and has a one year old daughter Stormi with rapper and boyfriend Travis Scott. She also dethrones Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest self-made billionaire, who achieved the title at the age of 23. Kylie adds "I didn't expect anything. I did not foresee the future, but [the recognition] feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back."

Kylie Cosmetics started out in 2015 with the Lip Kit and has now branched out to 30 new products including highlighters, setting powders, blushes and makeup brushes. The launch at Ulta in 50 states saw the real life version of the online sold-out in seconds sales, and a wiped out inventory in hours. The physical selling also gives an edge to the brand for its customers may want to 'touch, feel and test' the product before purchasing it and not all may have a credit card for online purchases. So far Kylie Jenner has made her brand a sold-out success and foresees even greater things for it in the future.
