Supermodel Bella Hadid has come under massive fire as she is seen disrespecting the UAE and Saudi Arabia in her recent Instagram stories. The 22 year old American model, who also has Palestinian roots, was seen on her social media account at an airport with the sole of her boot facing three planes including a Saudi Arabia plane and a UAE plane. Pointing one's shoe or foot towards the national flag is considered an insult in the Arab culture.
Taking to various social media networks, fans and followers have called against the model, deeming her a racist and some even petitioning to stop the model from entering their countries. People have also expressed their outrage by threatening to boycott the brands that have Bella Hadid as an ambassador including Versace and Dior.
Bella, who recently walked the Versace Milan Men's Fashion Week 2020 Show, was also questioned by some on being so proud and outspoken about her Palestinian heritage yet not respecting the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Many have spammed her and her family's social media accounts with flags from the two countries and have taken up to start a boycott against the entire Hadid family.
The brunette often talks about world issues, also attending protests demanding Palestinian be given their rights and recently took to Instagram to raise awareness of the plight of the Sudanese people to her nearly 25 million strong following on Instagram.
