After splitting from their husbands, Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter got together into a romantic relationship that pretty much became the talk of the town. Following from becoming each others rebound, Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter have reportedly called it quits, dating for hardly over a month, according to People.

The 26 year old singer and the 31 year old former wife of Brody Jenner continue to remain friends even though they are not on romantic terms any more. 'Miley and Kaitlyn broke up,' cited a source who is close to the former couple. 'They're still friends.'

Adding on, the source said, 'They've been friends forever and were there for each other when they were both getting separated, but they're just not in a romantic relationship anymore.'

The breakup comes as a surprise and shock as Miley and Kaitlynn were seen out together in Los Angeles only a week ago on September 14, and had reportedly been living together in LA following their breakups from their husbands.

People also reported their source to have said, 'They live together and are very happy. Miley is doing great. She is moving on. She seems to have no regrets. She loves being with Kaitlynn.'

Miley and Kaitlynn came into the limelight as Kaitlynn initially shared vacation photos of herself aboard a yacht with Miley on August 9, only two days before the 'Wrecking Ball' songstress announced that she had separated from her husband Liam Hemsworth, 29, whom she'd been married to since the past seven months.

The day Miley confirmed her split from her Australian actor husband, with whom she had been together on/off since a decade, and getting married last December, photos of the two women kissing and cuddling aboard the yacht were released. It was reported that Kaitlynn had broken up with Brody on August 2, though Page Six released the news that Kaitlynn and Brody's romantic Balinese wedding hadn't been a legally binding ceremony.

Miley and Kaitlynn had been friends for years, and they spent plenty of time together when they were married to Liam and Brody. Their romantic tryst reportedly took Liam by surprise and he filed for divorce from Miley after seeing the photos of her and Kaitlynn. The two women continued their fling after returning from vacation, and were spotted numerous times around town, enjoying cozy dates and indulging in ample PDA.
