The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Pakistan and all measures have been taken to ensure that their royal tour is a safe and secure one. The country heightened security provisions for Prince William and Catherine Middleton's five-day visit to the country.
Arriving in the capital city of Islamabad this evening, the couple marked their first official visit to the Islamic country and began their 'most complex' tour to date, Kensington Palace said, as political tensions and security concerns are not unknown to the region.
Receiving a red-carpet reception as they left the British Government's RAF Voyager plane together, the couple seemed sophisticated and elegant, beaming and confident, with Kate paying a nod to the country's Islamic morals wearing a bespoke top and trousers by her favored designer Catherine Walker.
Kate was an epitome of style and glamour clad in the figure-flattering fit-and-flare dress and matching trousers to it, keeping in with sync with Islamic values and morals. Her beautiful turquoise ombre print dress also featured a pleated draped detail just below the neckline, a nod to the 'dupatta' or veil worn by most Muslim women over their bust. The Duchess also wore her signature nude court shoes by Rupert Sanderson, carried a small box clutch and statement beaded earrings from Pakistan based brand Zeen, and had her hair blown-dried to perfect curls that cascaded down her shoulders.
More than 1,000 Pakistani police officers have been deployed across the country for Kate and William's safety as they travel across Pakistan. Their tour comes at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and falls during heightened tensions between Pakistan and India over the disputed region of Kashmir. The Duke and Duchess' tour, which will wrap up on Friday, also aims to strengthen ties between the UK and Pakistan.
