Gwen Stefani has always been known for her quirky and eccentric genre-fusing style statement, which certainly defined late Nineties alternative fashion. The 50 year old was honored at the 2019 People's Choice Awards, held in Los Angeles, and showed off yet another sensational look at the star-studded event.
Clad in a black and white strapless Vera Wang creation, Gwen was the epitome of gothic and punk fashion, and looked beautiful in the high-low gown, which also featured a long train. The skirt of her gown featured the name of her award in a bold Gothic font, and also had a oversized black silk bow, sitting on the small of her back.
Adding black elbow gloves and over-the-knee boots along with fishtail tights to her outfit, Gwen was a whimsical sight, and opted for a dark eye makeup with nude lips, ditching her signature bold red lips.
On stage, after accepting her award from fashion designer and pal Jeremy Scott, Gwen gushed: 'I love fashion, and I think one of the biggest blessings of the whole thing is just all the amazing, talented designers and people that have taught me all the things that I know. Because I used to hate fashion. I used to feel like, that's for the rich people, I'm just going to go to the thrift store and make my own thing, and that's what I did my whole life and now here I am with this award.'
