Performing for the first time in a decade, popular girl band The Pussycat Dolls turned up the heat and set hearts racing on Saturday's X Factor: Celebrity final. X Factor judge and lead of the pop band, that gained massive popularity with their hit singles 'Buttons' and 'Stickwitu', Nicole Scherzinger revealed after the energy packed performed that that 'was just the beginning.'

Turning the X Factor stage into a bombshell platform, the girls put on a much-anticipated performance, and even the audience marveled at their energy and smouldering displays of skin. Speaking to MailOnline, 41 year old Nicole said, "It was so great to be back together again. The energy from the crowd was amazing and spurred us on."

The Pussycat Doll including Nicole with band mates Carmit Bachar, Kimberley Wyatt, Ashley Roberts and Jessica Sutta performed for the first time in ten years, and sang a medley of their hit songs, including Don't Cha and Buttons, while clad in next to nothing saucy and revealing ensembles, putting ample displays of skin on show.

After their sizzling performance, band mate Ashley spoke, 'What a buzz. Back on stage with my girls! Loved every second of it. Bring on the tour hunni,' while Carmit added on, 'The energy was insane. Pure magic. It's like no time has passed and there's no doubt we're back. It feels incredible to be back on stage with my girls on a whole new level. PCD 2020!'

Though the performance received a bit of a backlash on Twitter from people watching from, as they thought the girls went too raunchy for a 'family TV show', the girls turned a deaf ear to the criticism. Band member Kimberly raved, ''Tonight was the night! I got to be back on stage with my Dolls on The X Factor. We threw it down,' and Jessica added: 'It felt so good to be back with the girls again. We had raw freaky fun.'

The Pussycat Dolls danced on chairs for the routine, and were even drenched in water for the last part of their performance. Their stage acts have always been associated with being too sexy and at times inappropriate, but that is what the band had always been about.

Taking to Twitter, one X Factor viewer wrote: 'I'm all about wearing what you want and embracing your body but Nicole might as well have not been wearing any clothes and there is literally kids sat down with their families watching it's not even 9pm yet.'

Another viewer expressed his anger, and tweeted, 'What the actual f*** were the Pussycat dolls wearing! Almost saw what they had for breakfast.'
