From sailor chic to bombshell, Gigi Hadid walks the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture SS20 Show
Explore Gigi Hadid's stunning transformation from sailor chic to bombshell as she graces the runway of Jean Paul Gaultier's SS20 Haute Couture Show.
The most noted names in the fashion industry arrived for legendary designer Jean Paul Gaultier's final show held during the Paris Couture Week Spring/Summer 2020. With a stellar runway cast of noted models and surprise cameos from Madonna, Dita von Tesse, and Beth Ditto among others, the 172 piece collection was shown. Karlie Kloss, Coco Rocha, Gigi and Bella Hadid sashayed down the ramp, along with Paris Jackson making her runway debut.
American supermodel Gigi Hadid was also a part of the iconic show, which started off with an angelic aesthetic and transitioned into a selection of sensational colours, intricate embroidery and ethereal dreamy dresses styled with extravagant headpieces. The 24 year old model dripped in drama as she showcased two different looks on the catwalk, a demure sailor inspired ensemble and then a smouldering vivacious all black style.
Gigi's first look for the fashion show featured a barely there blue and white striped structured top which was paired with flared white pants. Going braless, the model showed off skin and her lithe torso, while her pants featured a fashionable ruffling detail on them. Added to the ensemble was a white sailor hat and quirky multi-heeled shoes, and Gigi had her hair done in a slick bun white a minimal flawless makeup look.
Returning to the runway in her second look, the model went va-va-vroom and was a complete bombshell in a black sheer jumpsuit. One side of the design put ample skin on show, while the other side featured a darker fabric. The sheer side also included a metallic breastplate inspired detail, and Gigi also wore warrior inspired arm-cuffs and bracelets with her style. Oversized industrial inspired hoop earrings were also worn by Gigi, along with the same hair and makeup as the previous runway style.
