Joy Villa Wears Trump ‘Impeached and Re-Elected’ Dress on Grammys Red Carpet

American singer and songwriter Joy Villa made a shocking pro-Trump fashion statement on the red carpet of the 2020 Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles. The 28 year old was dressed in red, white and blue latex dress and cape custom made by Desi Allinger of Desi Designs, and featured the lettering 'Trump 2020' running down the front along with 'impeached and re-elected' on the back in white.

Making quite a bold and eye-catching statement in her gown supporting President Trump, Villa said, "The dress it's pro-America; you know I am a conservative. This is a patriotic, Miss America type of feel."

Questioned on the red carpet by Variety's Audrey Yap how people of color have benefited from the president's policies, Villa replied, "I'm black and Latina, I've benefited. My cousins now have jobs. There's more jobs than ever before."

Known for her bold and politically charged fashion statements, Villa has become a daring sight on the red carpet. Her 2015 Grammys nearly nude outfit was a bizarre creation, and for last year's Grammys ceremony, Villa promoted her album 'Home Sweet Home' by arriving at the event dressed as President Trump's proposed border wall with a 'Make America Great Again' purse in hand. At the 2018 Grammys event, the star once again made headlines with her anti-abortion message painted on a white gown.

Continuing her streak of political statements, even her 2017 Trump-endorsing 'Make America Great Again' gown in blue became a controversial talk of the town, and led her EP 'I Make the Static' to sell 15,000 units according to Nielsen Music, over a period of just two days.
