The Karl Lagerfeld house puts forth the latest Spring/Summer 2020 campaign called '21 rue Saint Guillaume'. Styled by Carine Roitfeld, and photographed by Chris Colls, the campaign takes inspiration from the address of the house's headquarters in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, where lies the original office and studio of the legendary and iconic late Karl Lagerfeld.
Starring supermodel Mariacarla Boscono, one of Lagerfeld’s muses, who confesses the shoot was an emotional one. The model says, "Shooting this campaign is emotional for me, as I was very close to Karl. I've done many shoots with him over the years, and we always laughed a lot. I have all those memories imprinted in my brain. I hope this campaign is a beautiful tribute to him, because everything I do now is with him in my mind."
The campaign is a signature Lagerfeld, smart, stylish and artistic, with the pieces very Bauhaus and Mondrian, and Karl was an avid lover of the Bauhaus movement. Alongside Boscono, the campaign also sees Ruinan Dong, Sarah Brannon, and Parker Van Noord. The latest Karl Lagerfeld collection is streetwear meets Parisian chic, while being demure and elegant, with just the right splashes of colours and trendy cuts, and eye-catching accessories.
