Her favorite game is supposedly Blackjack, which is often favored amongst players because of its simplicity. On one occasion she had apparently won a grand total of $30,000, which was an added bonus to the birthday celebrations of the same night. Back in 2014, Hilton also posted on her Instagram account that she had won an even bigger prize of $50,000 during a Blackjack game.
Jennifer Tilly
This Hollywood star, born Jennifer Ellen Chan, can add professional Poker player to her résumé, alongside being an established actress. What first began as a hobby and merely an online gaming experience, then evolved into participating in some of the world’s most famous tournaments.
Tilly’s father was a Poker player and influenced her love of casino, and later in life she was also taught to play by her boyfriend when she first moved to Hollywood.
In July 2005, Tilly won her first Poker tournament, which was the renowned Ladies' No-Limit Texas Hold 'em Event – seeing her beat 600 other players and be rewarded with the top prize of the World Series of Poker bracelet and $158,625. Tilly then went on to win the World Poker Tour Ladies Invitational Tournament in September 2005, as well as appearing in the GSN Poker Royale series.
In December 2008, she announced her retirement from Poker playing as a career, but resumed again in January 2010, much to casino fans’ delight. She was also nominated for the Spirit of Poker Living Legend Award in 2014, and up until June 2017, her live tournament winnings totalled over $992,000.
Gladys Knight
Award-winning American singer, songwriter, actress, and author Gladys Knight, is certainly a name you would have heard of. But did you know about her love for casino games? She was often seen playing at casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, with the classics Blackjack and Baccarat, as her games of choice.
In a single night, Knight supposedly won $60,000 in a Blackjack game, which she then went on to lose. But in a change of luck, she then immediately won back $45,000 by playing Baccarat.
