Bora Aksu Spring/Summer 2022 London Fashion Week Collection

London based Turkish fashion designer Bora Aksu presented his Spring/Summer 2022 Collection at the London Fashion Week. Flamboyant and exuberant, the collection was an overload of taffeta with exaggerated silhouettes, and a selection of brilliant tea dresses and vibrant two-piece designs. Presenting a vivacious and whimsical collection with an electric colour palette of bright pinks, yellows, greens and blue, Bora Aksu served up a romantic affair of layered silk taffeta. His dramatic tailoring has become his signature style, and the designer also put forward weightless floral looks with structured designs of jackets, trousers and trench coats. Each individual piece had its own prominent silhouette, with visible 18th Century references. The collection also takes inspiration from Dutch socialite Mathilde Willink, who also served as muse for Chinese-Dutch designer Fong Leng.
