Playing the iconic role of the late Princess Diana in the upcoming movie 'Spencer', actress Kristen Stewart is seen on the newly released movie poster clad in a Chanel Haute Couture gown. Kristen, who is also an ambassador for the French luxury fashion house, is seen on the cover clad in a beige organza evening gown, remade for the movie in the maison’s ateliers. The intricate and exclusive creation was fashioned after 1034 hours of work, including 700 hours for embroideries, by five full-time seamstresses. The featured gown is a Chanel design from the Chanel Spring/Summer 1988 Haute Couture collection, and features delicate embellishments of gold and silver around, while oval and leaf-shaped sequins form floral branches on the dress too.
The strapless creation, a boned dress, also has a straight neckline trimmed with pleated tulle ruffle and a frieze that is designed with ovum and florets, an appliquéd satin belt along with a bow at the front, and a skirt fitted down to the hips. The skirt gathers, and is longer at the back, with multiple tulle flounces set on an organza petticoat. The embroidery on the eye-catching and alluring gown is done by Lesage, with the pleating by Lognon. Pablo Larrain's Spencer will be presented in competition at the Venice Film Festival on Friday, September 3rd, 2021. Spencer is set in 1991, when Princess Diana spent time during Christmas on holiday with the royal family in the Sandringham House, and decided to leave Prince Charles.
