The Milan Fashion Week ended with a bang - and introduced Fendace, Fendi by Versace, or Versace by Fendi, the Pre-Spring 2022 pop-up collections created by Kim Jones, Fendi’s women’s wear artistic director and Silvia Venturini Fendi, Fendi’s men’s wear designer, and Donatella Versace of Versace. The high-end designers lent their creative abilities at each other’s house, and put the results on the runway with some of the hottest models of the industries on the ramp, and celebrity friends in the front row.
Though Fendance still had a prominent Versace vibe to it, as the Versace by Fendi section was spliced and inset with scarf prints, fan-print strapless column minidress detailed with embroidery, while the Fendi by Versace also felt very Versace, just with “F” logos. Inspired by friendship and mutual professional respect, the collections will be available in May at both Fendi and Versace boutiques respectively. Versace went the grunge and punk way with its collection, while Fendi's designs had a visible Greek influence to it.
The dazzling Fendance fashion show was opened by supermodels Kate Moss, Amber Valletta, Esther Canadas, and Naomi Campbell, who strutted the platform wearing Versace's baroque prints and signature safety pins merged with Fendi's logo splashed all over the clothing. Also showing off the apparel and accessories were noted names Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, and Adut Akech, and the show marked the first time that Kate Moss and daughter Lila Grace Moss walked in the same fashion show. In the front row were British actress and model Elizabeth Hurley, Demi Moore, model Winnie Harlow, award-winning actress Zoey Deutch, digital entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni and her husband, the Italian rapper, singer, and songwriter Fedez, and Versace's new muse Dua Lipa.
