Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2022 London Fashion Week Collection
Discover Vivienne Westwood's eco-conscious 'Save Our Souls' SS22 Collection – a sea-inspired, rebellious fashion revolution with iconic punk flair.
British fashion house Vivienne Westwood digitally unveiled its Spring/Summer 2022 Collection, during the London Fashion Week. The 'Save Our Souls' collection takes inspiration from the sea and the Spring/Summer 1998 'Tied To The Mast' Collection by the designer. Returning back to her roots, Vivienne Westwood presents a collection that is full of anarchic style, with lots of tartan designs, mismatched prints and looks with deconstruction as well. Pirate-like details, Victorian corsets and elements from 1800s courtier Redfern are seen in the collection as well. The fashion house aims to reduce carbon footprint, and uses recycled and reusable fabric for the designs, and keeps the motto of the collection 'Buy Less, Choose Well, Make it Last'. Seen on the models are suiting separates, deconstructed dresses and structured pieces, and accessories include oversized and mini bags, chunky necklaces and statement chokers. A prominent design in the collection is an oversized choker saying ‘Sex’, which can be a reference to the designer's early days as a creator at Malcolm McLaren’s boutique, Sex.
