5 Fashion Models Without a College Degree

Many pretty girls dream of joining the ranks of the world-famous fashion models, conquering the most desired catwalks, appearing on covers of popular magazines, and wearing expensive one-of-the-kind clothes. However, only a few of them will get a chance to make their dreams come true. It is more about the right social connections in the fashion world and a lucky chance than having a college degree. If you don’t believe this statement, it is worth examining the biographies of various models to understand that higher education didn’t play a crucial role in their cases. However, it doesn’t mean that you should quit college and search for good luck. If you feel overwhelmed because of assignments, you can always ask for essay writing help. After all, it is always better to have a backup plan than find yourself high and dry, chasing a pipe dream. Unlike many other careers, modeling doesn’t require any specific credentials. Still, it doesn’t mean that a degree in fashion design or photography will not open you a door in the vogue industry.

Gisele Bündchen

Today it can be hard to believe that nobody believed in her success back in the day. This Brazilian beauty with German roots was considered too tall and dull to appear on the most famous runways. In other words, her appearance was “unsuitable” for such a profession, so her chances for success were quite low. Indeed, how often do you hear stories about girls who have managed to get out of their small towns and appear on the Forbes list with a net worth of $150 million? She had neither a rich family nor special education to make her way in this competitive world. However, sometimes miracles happen. When she was 14 years old, she decided to make a few bucks for a summer vacation in San Paulo. One day she popped into a fast-food place with her friends and came across the representative of the Elite Modeling agency. This meeting opened a new chapter in her life. Even though she faced many challenges on her way to success, a long-legged beauty became the face of leading fashion brands and hit the covers of gloss, becoming one of the highest-paid top models.

Kendall Jenner

Being one of the Kardashian star family representatives and having an attractive appearance, Jenner had the chance to make her way in the model world. She got the best out of her family ties and became one of the best fashion stars at 19. Actually, her way to fame had begun long before this age since she was forced to participate in the family reality show when she was just 12. Perhaps this event inspired her to start a modeling career and make her own name in the big world. She chose numerous photo sessions over getting educated in higher academic institutions. In fact, she was homeschooling because of a tight schedule that left no room for attending classes.

Cara Delevingne

She is often called one of the most stylish yet extraordinary fashion models since she is not afraid to talk about psychological and sexual issues and demonstrates her rebellious nature. Cara suffers from dyspraxia, so studying was always a big challenge for her. Therefore, she devoted all her attention to her modeling career. Her first photoshoot took place for Italian Vogue at ten, but her career has gained momentum only after signing a contract with Storm Management several years after this event. It was a turning point in her life since she started collaborating with the Burberry brand, participating in advertisements for Blumarine and Zara, and appearing on the catwalk demonstrating Dolce & Gabbana collections.

Adriana Lima

The Brazilian supermodel has appeared on all possible lists of the sexiest women on the planet for a reason. She was one of the most charming Victoria’s Secret Angels for 19 years. Even though her childhood could hardly be called happy since she was raised in a shantytown of Salvador, she realized her attractiveness quickly and took her first steps in the right direction at 13. First, she got the title of the most beautiful girl in her native town, and two years later, she got second place in the global fashion beauty contest. She signed a contract with Elite Model Management at 16 and moved to New York. Neither language barrier (she didn’t know English) nor lack of a college degree prevented her from becoming one of the most highly-paid and desirable supermodels.

Natalia Vodianova

If you read her biography back and forth, you may have a feeling that it is a new interpretation of the Cinderella story but without a prince. She was born in a poor Russian family and raised with two other sisters, one of whom has cerebral palsy. Such a family atmosphere involved various financial and psychological issues that affected her personality in the future. When she was 16 years old, she enrolled in the local model agency. Fortunately, she was later noticed by the representative of the Viva Model Management agency. She got an offer to try her luck at the casting of a French fashion company in Moscow. Her stunning Slavic appearance won over the French, so she moved to Paris and began a brand-new chapter in her biography.
