Freestyle skier Eileen Gu has been enlisted as the new ambassador for IWC Schaffhausen. Having previously been a face for campaigns of fashion brands like Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co., the teenager is using her fame and voice to encourage and inspire, and also utilize her voice to inspire the younger generations around the world through sport. Featuring in a new campaign for IWC Schaffhausen, Eileen poses on location at a skatepark, wearing the IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41.
The new design from the watch brand is a 41mm stainless steel watch, with a blue or green face and an in-house movement. The Chronograph 41 features a quick-change technology, giving the wearer the freedom to modify their timepiece to different circumstances. Along with the campaign images, Eileen also stars in a commercial where she skates in the park and rinks, while encouraging viewers to reevaluate their beliefs and pursue their ambitions. Dressed in casual looks, including a denim jacket and zip-up hoodie, the sports star turns up the charm and looks radiant.
From the young age of eight, Gu has been breaking records in freestyle skiing, including becoming the first woman to land a 1440 double cork in 2021. In her last eight World Cup contests in the US and Canada, she has won four freestyle competitions, becoming the first female skier in history to do so.
“As the youngest member of the IWC family, Eileen has already accomplished more than many others manage in a lifetime. We are so happy to partner with Eileen on this new campaign to inspire the younger generation to break the boundaries, fully express themselves and pursue their dreams.” Franziska Gsell, CMO, IWC Schaffhausen
