Boucheron New Maharajahs High Jewelry Campaign starring Marte Mei Van Haaster

Discover Boucheron's New Maharajah Collection: a regal tribute to 1928's grandest order by Maharajah Patiala, reborn through Claire Choisne's vision.

Boucheron dazzles as it launches the New Maharajah High Jewelry Collection, which is inspired by the largest special order in Place Vendôme history in 1928. Bhupinder Singh, The Maharajah of Patiala, had ordered 149 bespoke pieces filled with precious jewels, and Claire Choisne, Creative Director of Boucheron, pays homage to that treasure, bringing forth a Boucheron’s History of Style Collection for 2022.

Presented in a new campaign, starring model Marte Mei Van Haaster, the collection is fit for the royals. Made with creative direction by Al Dente Paris, the campaign channels classic portraits shot by Luis Alberto Rodriguez for Marte, with Charles Negre shooting still life. The collection is filled with emeralds, pearls, diamonds, and white gold, styled on the model by Virginie Benarroch, with hair by Yann Turchi and makeup by Stephanie Kunz.

“This commission by the Maharajah of Patiala seemed like a fairytale, it is the stuff of dreams,” states Claire Choisne. “In our archives, we have kept the 149 original designs from which I got my inspiration for this collection. I wanted to transpose these designs into the 21st century, and to reinvent them for today’s Maharanis and Maharajahs.
