adidas Originals and Parley Spring/Summer 2022 Campaign

Continuing to bring crowd-favourite collaborations, sportswear brand adidas Originals is set to release another collection. With more than 8 million tons of plastics and waste materials polluting the oceans every year, adidas started to identify immediate fixes along with their long-time partner Parley for the Oceans. Both the brands have together unveiled a concept shoe fashioned of of marine waste and recycled filaments.

Each sneaker design offered in the collection is made with 50% plastic waste from the beaches, shorelines, remote islands, and coastal communities, which also comes in line with adidas’ commitment to help eliminate plastic waste. Both adidas and Parley have taken up practical and realistic approaches to minimize waste during production of the collection as well. This also makes sure that each sneaker produced brings us close to building a better future for the oceans. The adidas Originals and Parley Collection also aims to provide more sustainable options for sneaker enthusiasts and collectors around the globe.

Accompanying the launch of the collection is a timeless campaign. Daringly stripped back in execution, the campaign images revel in the grey area in between; demonstrating that style and progress don’t have to be mutually exclusive. A confident expression of adidas’ design language, brought into a fresh new context, the composition draws on the collection’s inherently modern nature. - adidas
