Mexico based fashion designer Kris Goyri is the hottest designer in the fashion world these days. Shot to fame for his exquisite stitching, the designer when discovered that his Spring Collection would be presented in an agave field in Oaxaca, took inspiration from the gualumbo for his designs, the flower that grows from the maguey plant. Bringing the gualumbo's melancholy life story to vision, Kris Goyri stunned audience as he presented his Spring 2023 Collection on the runway.

Showcased in agave fields of the Mitla community, the collection offered dressed and and skirts made of gabardine and linen, materials that Goyri usually does not work with, adding to the out of the box feel of the designs. The thorns of the maguey were reimagined in the buttonholes of the designs, while the cape dresses highlighted the maximalist proportions. Skirts and pants were trimmed in shades of beige and green, giving a nod to the surrounding fields, while the rest of the collection featured a color palette of oranges, pinks, and electric blue, giving a burst of colors on the runway.
