Feng Chen Wang Fall/Winter 2022 Campaign

Chinese fashion designer Feng Chen Wang serves the epitome of perfectionism and acceptance with the launch of her latest Fall/Winter 2022 Campaign. The collection is about finding solace in the never-ending act of improvement, and Wang presents each of her designs with a fluidity.

“This season, I love the idea of embracing and finding beauty in our inter-connectedness, in nature, societies and our own selves. Perfectly incomplete. Imperfectly complete,” shares the designer in an exclusive press release.

The collection takes inspiration from ancient Chinese painting scrolls and Renaissance polyptych paintings, and even the campaign offers a flowing, continuous scroll. Seen in the collection, a starry design is inspired by Fujian lacquerware found in Wang’s hometown and is presented on jackets, shirts and shorts, providing a psychedelic effect. Other designs are artistically hand-dyed with black and yellow ochre, which is the season's most popular shade.

Plant dyes are splattered throughout the collection, showing off  Wang’s commitment to sustainability. Versatility goes hand in hand with practicality, as most designs of the collection can be worn multiple ways. Feng Chen Wang’s phoenix motif is a symbol of luck, and is featured alongside the brand logo, giving more confidence to walk on one's own journey.
