Giambattista Valli Spring/Summer 2023 Haute Couture Fashion Show

Giambattista Valli's Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023 Collection was an extravagant display of glamour and opulence. Presented during the Paris Fashion Week, the collection included a luxurious selection of fishtail dresses, ballgowns and feathery coats, all in shades of 'Valli pink' and other pretty, feminine and flattering shades. The collection had a sense of color and volume, with the designer’s atelier putting together expansive puffs, swags, and rosette swirls from silk faille, moire, tulle and chiffon. The designer's haute couture collection for the season focused on gowns meant for parties and happy times, and had models dressed in larger-than-life dresses, some composed of hundreds of meters of tulle. Albeit daring and dramatic, the designs featured hints of skin too, especially legs, but also cut-outs at the tummy. Glittering crystal-mesh catsuits were also seen on the runway, and the dreamy, escapist show, Valli was rounded off by flame-haired Brazilian actress and socialite Marina Barbosa dressed in the finale look, which was a glimmering jacket, pants as big as a ballgown, along with a tulle cape. Barbosa's own style is similar to those of the fashionable women to whom the couturier caters, and she is often seen dressed in Valli pink.
