A Look at Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's Relationship
Delve into the tumultuous and highly publicized relationship between Hollywood star Pamela Anderson and musician Tommy Lee.
Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee were the It couple of the 90s, and they were the couple in all news, making headline, and no one could stop talking about them. Popular for their public displays of affection, and their stolen and leaked sex tape that went viral, the former couple's love story has been retold a number of times through various mediums. On 31 January, streaming service Netflix released a tell-all documentary titled "Pamela, a Love Story," the same day Anderson released her memoir, "Love, Pamela," and both retell the blonde bombshell and Lee's story from her own perspective.
The twin releases come after the release of the 2022 limited series titled "Pam & Tommy," which starred Lily James and Sebastian Stan as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. According to "Pamela, a Love Story" director Ryan White, the series "traumatized [Anderson] for months," leading the crew to avoid mentioning it on set, according to Insider. Shortly before the premiere of the documentary, Anderson told Variety that "Pam & Tommy" was "salt on the wound" and noted that the creators "still owe me a public apology."
Anderson claims her narrative in her memoir and in "Pamela, a Love Story," gives more scope and context to her life story and relationship with Lee. It all began in February 1995, when the "Baywatch" star and Mötley Crüe drummer got married in Cancun, Mexico, after only knowing each other for four days, and went on to get each other's names tattooed on their ring fingers. The couple welcomed their sons, Brandon and Dylan, in June 1996 and December 1997, respectively, though they went their separate ways in 1998, only to get back together a decade later in 2008, splitting up again in 2010.
