Kate Middleton attends the 2023 BAFTAs in Alexander McQueen

The Prince and Princess of Wales Kate Middleton and Prince William were in attendance at the 2023 BAFTAs. The royal couple arrived at Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday, 19 Feb. for the prestigious award show, stealing the limelight, while dressed to impress. Kate was ever the beauty, clad in an ethereal one-shouldered floaty dress by Alexander McQueen, which was given the extra oomph with a pair of black opera gloves.

Kate has usually been seen in short leather gloves styled with frock coats for day-to-day outings, but for the red carpet moment, her black gloves caught instant attention, and were a stark contrast to the white ensemble she wore. The fabric of the dress that was knotted at the shoulder, had extra material falling down her left arm for a stylish edge. Kate continued to prove she truly is the high-low dressing queen by teaming the Alexander McQueen dress with £17 statement earrings from high street brand Zara, along with golden heels and a clutch to match her gloves. Prince William was by her side, dapper in a suave suit, with a double-breasted black velvet jacket and bow tie.

Royal fans were quick to notice that Kate wore the exact same McQueen gown to the BAFTAs in 2019. The mother-of-three is often dubbed the "royal recycler", and she surely gave the dress a fresh feel by adding the shoulder detail and playing with the accessories. The future Queen continues to be applauded for her sustainable approach to red carpet dressing, and gives inspiration to rewear and reused old outfits.

Kate kept her hair long and straight for the occasion with smudged eyeliner and a glossy pale pink lip.
