Amidst news of her break up with long-time boyfriend Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift took to the stage in Tampa, Florida to begin her Era Tour. The 33-year-old singer-songwriter entertained her fans with a mix of hits throughout her career. Before singing “Lover,” which is a romantic tribute to their six-year relationship, she announced to the crowd that she aims to take them on a journey through 17 years of music. She also mentioned that the next song she would perform is simply a love song.
Although Taylor and British actor Joe kept their relationship out of the spotlight, they have been spotted together several times over the past few years. They first met in 2016, introduced by mutual friends, and made their first public appearance at the Golden Globe Awards in 2020.
During the concert, Taylor played two surprise songs, “Speak Now” from her 2010 album of the same name, and "Treacherous" from her 2012 album, Red. She also shared some interesting trivia with fans, revealing that “Treacherous” may be played on the piano for the first time ever during the tour.
