Emma Chamberlain Shines in Light Blue Crop Top and Skirt at 2023 Met Gala

YouTube sensation Emma Chamberlain arrived at the 2023 Met Gala on Monday, May 1, to host the red carpet live stream for Vogue. The 21-year-old looked stunning in a light blue crop top and matching skirt with a leg slit, as she joined her three co-hosts to interview the stars on the red carpet.

Emma's outfit was inspired by classic 60s fashion and featured a light blue, shining crop top blazer and skirt. She completed the look with a matching headband and light socks in sparkling silver heels.

The YouTuber has been a regular attendee of the Met Gala and a key part of Vogue's coverage of the stars on the red carpet. She first made her debut in 2021, wearing a shimmering gold dress with cutouts, and then kept the gold theme going in 2022 with a crop top and long white skirt, complemented by a tiara atop her platinum blonde hair.

Emma is known for her inside coverage of the Met Gala, sharing short videos and quick interviews with the stars attending the event in previous years. She compared her first experience attending the event to going to prom because of the nerves and excitement that come with it.

The theme for the 2023 Met Gala was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," honoring the late German designer who passed away in 2019. Alongside Emma, actress La La Anthony, Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman, and journalist Derek Blasberg were co-hosting the event.

Despite attending the Met Gala several times, Emma still finds the event fascinating and admits it feels the same as going to prom. "I participate because I'm fascinated by the whole thing. I mean, you'd expect that something like going to the Met Gala would unlock a new emotion, or you see the world in a new way, you level up. No, you don't. It's the same [expletive] as going to prom," she told The New York Times in a February interview.
