According to Kensington Palace, Kate had recorded the performance earlier this month at Windsor Castle, where she played a brief instrumental piece lasting around 10 seconds. Her contribution to the opening film was created by Joe Price and Kojo Samuel and took place in the Crimson Drawing Room of Windsor Castle.
Fans were thrilled to see Kate's musical talents on display, with many taking to social media to praise her performance. The official Twitter account for the Prince and Princess of Wales tweeted about the surprise, describing it as a "pleasure" to join the Kalush Orchestra in a special performance of last year's winning Eurovision entry.
Kate has long been an advocate for the arts, and her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest only further highlights her passion for music. Her surprise piano performance has been widely praised and adds another accomplishment to her already impressive list of talents.
