Meghan Markle made a stunning fashion statement at the 2023 Women of Vision Awards, hosted by the Ms. Foundation for Women in New York City on May 16. The Duchess of Sussex captivated everyone with her choice of a gold, strapless cutout dress, showcasing her status as a true style icon.
The mesmerizing gold midi dress, designed by Johanna Ortiz, marked a departure from Markle's recent fashion choices. With its form-fitting silhouette, textured scale embossing, and a small diamond-shaped keyhole cutout, the dress exuded sultriness. Completing the ensemble were barely-there gold sandals by Tom Ford, a gold Carolina Herrera box clutch bag, J.Crew jeweled hoop earrings, and a stack of bangles adorning one arm. Markle's flawlessly styled hair featured voluminous Hollywood waves cascading over one shoulder, while her makeup glowed in golden tones, harmonizing with her outfit.
Accompanied by her husband, Prince Harry, who wore a midnight blue suit, white shirt, and a blue patterned tie, Markle was also joined by her mother, Doria, elegantly attired in a black pleated minidress and slingback heels.
In April, it was announced that Markle had been honored as a Women of Vision recipient for her global advocacy and empowerment of women and girls. Accepting the accolade, she emphasized the importance of personal vision, stating, "It's just never too late to start. You can be the visionary of your own life."
Markle's post-royal fashion journey has been a captivating evolution. Since stepping back from her royal duties, she has embraced a newfound freedom in her wardrobe choices, expressing her individuality. At an LA Lakers basketball game on April 24, she showcased a salmon pink co-cord ensemble consisting of an oversized blazer, high-waisted shorts, a white tee, and Aquazzura heels, reminiscent of her pre-royal celebrity status.
Although Markle couldn't attend the King's Coronation on May 6 due to her son Archie's birthday, Prince Harry made a brief appearance before returning home to Montecito, California. A few days later, the couple enjoyed a delightful date night to witness Markle accepting the Women of Vision honor.
