Havaianas Collaborates with Actress Barbie Ferreira for Summer 2023 Collection

Havaianas, the Brazilian footwear brand, joins forces with actress Barbie Ferreira for their first-ever celebrity collaboration, bringing a vibrant collection for summer 2023.

Drawing inspiration from Ferreira's Brazilian heritage, the collection captures the essence of Rio de Janeiro in the '60s and '70s.

In a statement, Ferreira expressed her excitement about partnering with the iconic brand, stating, "Havaianas is an iconic brand that I’ve been wearing since I was in diapers. To me, it signifies so much of my culture and my family and Brazil in general. Being Brazilian American has shaped my heart, my art, and my fashion endlessly."

Co-designed by Ferreira, the 9-piece collection features classic flip-flops in playful prints and slides in earthy tones. Available in both men's and women's sizes, the thong flip-flops and rubber slides offer a cushioned footbed with a textured rice pattern.

Ferreira eagerly shared, "Getting the chance to design for a company that represents my family, and me, in a nostalgic way is incredibly exciting, and I can't wait for everyone to see what we came up with."

While Havaianas has been known for its slip-on styles in a wide range of colors and prints for over 50 years, this collaboration marks their first venture into celebrity partnerships. The brand boasts a loyal following, including notable fans such as Jennifer Lopez, Elle Fanning, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kaia Gerber, and Reese Witherspoon.

Having previously collaborated with luxury brands like Missoni and Valentino, Havaianas continues to push boundaries with their latest collaboration. The Havaianas x Barbie Ferreira collection is now available for purchase on havaianas.com, offering styles ranging from $34 to $44.
