Cardi B - Haute Couture Week At Schiaparelli

Schiaparelli's haute couture kick-off show took flight with a captivating appearance by Cardi B., donning a fanciful shrug resembling giant wings.

Making a grand entrance in a velvet gown, Cardi B. couldn't help but express her admiration, describing the ensemble as "beautiful" and "amazing." Excitedly anticipating sitting next to Tracee Ellis Ross, she playfully addressed her fans as "my little truffles" before the show began. However, as the show concluded, Cardi B. was surrounded by eager guests vying to capture photos with her, prompting a swift departure.

The giant wing shrug was less shocking compared to Schiaparelli's previous season, which featured hyper-realistic animal-themed pieces. This season, the cape showcased layered wool tufts that amplified its volume, while unmistakably faux in nature.

In contrast, Tracee Ellis Ross, a familiar face in Schiaparelli designs on various red carpets, exuded a more relaxed vibe in a purple silk suit reminiscent of pajamas. Reflecting on Daniel Roseberry's growth as a designer since his first couture collection in 2019, Ellis Ross praised his artistry and the transformative nature of his inspiration in each collection. She particularly appreciated the opportunity to witness Roseberry's full glory in the realm of couture.

Recently completing the film "Cold Copy" alongside Jeffrey Wright, Ellis Ross spoke about her role as a character unlike any she had portrayed before. She shared her excitement, mentioning the absence of smiles and her straight hair with bangs in the film's distinctive style. Up next for her is a Christmas movie titled "Candy Cane Lane," starring Eddie Murphy.

Ellis Ross is known for her bold choices on the red carpet, viewing clothes as a form of creative expression. Her extensive wardrobe takes up a significant portion of her home, jokingly referring to the rooms dedicated to it.

In the front row, "Game of Thrones" star Gwendoline Christie and model Marisa Berenson became fast friends. They joyfully captured selfies together and asked bystanders to take photos and videos of their interaction.

Christie, a longtime admirer of Roseberry's work, lauded the show's evolution and praised the designer's craftsmanship and imaginative vision. She highlighted the harmonious relationship between Roseberry and his atelier, expressing delight in witnessing their remarkable collaboration.

Daniel Roseberry presented a range of captivating looks that are sure to make their mark on the red carpet. Dramatic volume, mirrored suits, a skirt adorned with gold stones, and Irina Shayk gracefully draped in a flower wrap were among the standout moments. The show concluded with mesmerizing white silk ensembles featuring painted feathers, leaving a lasting impression of Schiaparelli's artistry.
