Adidas Originals has made a groundbreaking entry into the realm of collegiate athletics with its inaugural footwear collection, specially crafted for five prestigious National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) partner colleges in the United States. This momentous launch coincides with the commencement of the college American football season.

Named the 'Rivalry' collection, this range from Adidas Originals showcases officially licensed color schemes dedicated to five esteemed NCAA institutions: Grambling State University, University of Miami, University of Nebraska, Texas A&M, and the University of Washington. The collection is designed to enable students and enthusiasts to proudly sport their college's colors.

Adidas reveals that more collections in a variety of college and university colorways are slated for release later in the season. The spotlight of this collection falls on the Rivalry shoe, originally rooted in the world of basketball. This shoe boasts a retro-inspired 1980s aesthetic, presenting a sleek silhouette adorned with the signature black, green, red, maroon, and purple hues representing the initial five colleges.
