OnlyFans Model’s Maui Wildfire Fundraiser Shut Down by GoFundMe
An OnlyFans model offered photos to anyone who donated $10 to her Maui wildfire fundraiser. Then GoFundMe shut it down and refunded every donor.
An OnlyFans model from Hawaii came up with a very unusual way to raise money for Maui wildfire victims, and it didn't take long for GoFundMe to shut it down.
Mariah Casillas, a 22-year-old Honolulu resident, set up a GoFundMe to help people affected by the devastating fires and promised a little something extra in return. On August 14, she posted on X: "F**k it, sending nudes to everyone who donates at least $10 to my Maui wildfire fundraiser."
"I love this beautiful island too much," she added. "Retweet and DM me after donation, I'll be checking."
The post went viral almost instantly, and in just a few days her fundraiser had reportedly brought in more than $7,000.
GoFundMe Pulls the Plug
But GoFundMe wasn't having it. The site took the campaign down for breaking its terms of service, which ban fundraisers that offer rewards or promises in exchange for donations, along with anything involving sexual content.
A GoFundMe spokesperson told TMZ that everyone who donated has been refunded. The company is pointing anyone who wants to help to its centralized Maui wildfire hub instead.
Mariah didn't give up, though. On August 17, she announced she was taking the fundraiser to OnlyFans instead. "Moved my fundraiser to OF," she wrote, adding, "Drop your donations on my pinned post and let's get to work."
A Devastating Disaster
The fires that tore through Maui on August 8 destroyed most of the historic town of Lahaina and killed more than 100 people, making it the deadliest wildfire in the US in over a century. Thousands of people have lost their homes, and hundreds are still unaccounted for.
Mariah has urged anyone who's ever enjoyed a trip to Hawaii to give back, telling followers to consider "donating to the place and people who made all of that possible for you."
Not the First Time
Mariah isn't the first to try this. Back in 2020, model Kaylen Ward raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Australia's bushfires by sending photos to anyone who donated, and sex workers have used the same idea for other causes since.
Still, it's a reminder of how much money OnlyFans creators can move. Some of the biggest celebrities on OnlyFans have built huge followings on the site.
If you'd like to help Maui, the Hawaii Community Foundation's Maui Strong Fund and the American Red Cross are both collecting donations for wildfire survivors.
