Attico's Spring/Summer 2024 Fashion Show: Unveiling the latest in stylish designs and trends.

The Attico, founded in 2016, wasted no time amassing a devoted following. The brand's alluring eveningwear, featuring shimmering mini dresses, Y2k-inspired cargo pants, and edgy high heels, quickly caught the attention of fashion insiders and found its way into the wardrobes of celebrities like Rihanna, Dua Lipa, and Hailey Bieber.

Despite specializing in high-impact pieces that seem tailor-made for the glitz and glamour of fashion week runways, The Attico had never staged a formal fashion show. This might be attributed, in part, to the brand's founders, Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini, who are influential figures with a collective Instagram following exceeding a million—many of whom readily convert into customers. However, as The Attico continued to evolve, they decided to break this tradition and present a full-fledged fashion show for their Spring 2024 collection.

For their runway debut, The Attico took over a residential street in the Arco della Pace neighborhood of western Milan. The show featured 42 looks, seamlessly blending sheer fabrics and mirrored sequins, perfect for a warehouse party, with oversized utility jackets, cargo pants, and generously proportioned outerwear. The models strutted down the makeshift runway to a pulsating synth soundtrack, giving off an aura as if they were locals preparing for a night out, setting up a speaker, and bringing the nightclub experience to their own front door.

In attendance at the front row, which was creatively arranged as a line of plush leather couches for the event, were prominent figures such as Sabato De Sarno, the new creative director of Gucci, renowned footwear designer Amina Muaddi, influencer Chiara Ferragni, and Sabrina Impacciatore from "White Lotus." The audience extended beyond the official invitees, with some residents of the neighborhood standing on their balconies or peeking out from their ground-floor windows to catch a glimpse of the passing models.

The collection challenged conventional notions of "day-to-night" attire, featuring standout pieces like an oversized grey trench coat paired with shimmering silver pants and a bold black blazer over feather-studded tights. Semi-sheer dresses glistened with reflective sequins and delicate black feathers. Accessories such as crystal-embellished flats and slouchy, shiny clutches seem destined to follow in the footsteps of the coveted Devon sandals, anticipated to be ubiquitous when they hit the market next spring.

Fashion shows represent a significant investment for designers, and seven years into their journey, The Attico's inaugural runway signaled their heightened confidence in the universal appeal of their extravagant eveningwear and accessories, transcending their cult status. By transforming a tranquil street into a runway, the designers playfully acknowledged their fans who are already making bold fashion statements in The Attico's creations in cities worldwide, effortlessly commanding attention wherever they go.
