Coperni's designers, Sebastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, chose an unconventional location for their fashion week presentation, opting for a vast underground sound research center in the heart of Paris. The event showcased sporty and ultra-modern styles that incorporated tech devices, notably the Humane Ai Pin, fastened to lapels.
As the show began, a shifting wall of loudspeakers set the tone. Models, including the iconic Naomi Campbell, gracefully walked the runway in a collection characterized by loose-fitting suits, form-fitting sheer dresses, bra tops, and stylish jeans.
The show's theme emphasized the idea of wearing clothes with ease, as reflected in the open-backed dresses and cropped trouser hems that created leggy looks. Meanwhile, shirt sleeves were intentionally left extra long, cascading like scarves.
The soundtrack accompanying the show featured sounds of fabric in motion and, at one point, the gentle tinkle of a triangle instrument, synchronizing with the presentation of clothing featuring triangle cutouts.
Embracing a futuristic vibe, the collection featured sportswear pieces and square-toed sneakers from a collaboration with Puma. Some models even carried Coperni's Swipe bag CD player, complete with headphones.
Founded in 2013, Coperni has a reputation for creating excitement during Paris Fashion Week, from spray-painting a dress on Bella Hadid last year to introducing robot dogs on the runway more recently.
Paris Fashion Week will continue until October 3, showcasing renowned brands such as Chanel, Hermes, and LVMH-owned Louis Vuitton.
