Milan Fashion Week is off to a roaring start with James Long's ICEBERG taking center stage. The renowned 49-year-old label, known for its commitment to heritage, kicked off the festivities with a wild runway show that left fashion enthusiasts hungry for more. ICEBERG is gearing up to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2024, and its Spring/Summer 2024 collection packs a powerful punch in anticipation of this milestone.
ICEBERG shed its conventional skin to unveil a collection dominated by a fierce snakeskin aesthetic, exuding the confidence to be worn from dusk till dawn. The brand reimagined its iconic House staples, infusing them with a sense of heritage while placing glossy leather at the forefront of the runway. The audacious display began with a striking model donning an embossed leather co-ord adorned with daring haltered zippers and provocative piercings, while others strutted their stuff in asymmetrical closures and sophisticated shoulder harnesses. Biker-inspired ensembles featured pierced netting and metallic hardware, transitioning into tinted snakeskin jackets with an oversized identity.
Throughout the collection, glimpses of bare skin were strategically revealed, oozing an irresistible sex appeal. Khaki uniforms made a statement with white patchwork detailing and utilitarian accents, and delicate grey tones breathed life into modern trench coats, slit trousers, and dual-strapped underwear. ICEBERG's Spring/Summer 2024 collection embodied a sense of liberation, reviving essential archival pieces for the contemporary rebel. It was a show that left no doubt about the brand's rebellious spirit and commitment to pushing fashion boundaries.
